Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts

If you're making Brussels sprouts, I promise you it's worth it to cook up a couple of bacon to go along with them. It's simple, takes 5 minutes, and adds a salty smokey flavor that's unbeatable. Plus...it's bacon.

Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts (serves 2)

  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts, de-stemmed and cut in half
  • 2 slices bacon, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400*

In a cast iron pan, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.

Add the chopped Brussels sprouts to the pan with the bacon fat, add salt and pepper, and toss until the sprouts are coated. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes, flip the sprouts over, and roast another 10-15 minutes until the leaves are crispy and they're cooked through.

Remove the pan from the oven, add in the crumbled bacon, and toss to combine. Serve with your favorite grilled meat.
