Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Asparagus is my favorite springtime vegetables, not only because it in and of itself is delicious (have you ever had it roasted?! Holy yum) but because it pairs perfectly with two of my other favorite things: hollandaise and bacon. 

I've seen so many pictures of bacon wrapped asparagus and finally felt it was high time to make them myself. Putting them together was so easy, baking them even easier, and the eating? I'll leave that one to speak for itself.

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus (makes 10 spears)

  • 10 asparagus spears
  • 5 pieces of bacon

Preheat oven to 400*. Place a baking rack onto a baking sheet and grease it well.

Cut the bacon strips in half lengthwise. Wrap each half around one stalk of bacon in a spiral. Place on the baking rack.

Bake for 10 minutes, flip, and bake for 10 more, until the asparagus is tender and the bacon is crispy.
